Ever since I put the Nepenthes out for the warmer weather outside, they've been producing lots of new pitchers. Here are some pictures...
Usually, pitchers develop and open for prey without an issue, but the N. boschiana developing pitcher below encountered a bit of a problem. Its tendril wrapped around the top of the pitcher! I wonder what it'll end up looking like when it develops further...
While the Nepenthes have been growing pitchers...the Dionaea and Drosera have been catching flies. Two completely different trapping mechanisms, yet the same prey gets caught in both! The D. tracyi in the photo below has grown quite a bit...it's from leaf cuttings from last year.
